Gynaecological surgeryLaparoscopic & gynaecological surgery in Bengaluru
Keyhole and open surgery for fibroids, ovarian cysts and other conditions, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, at Cloudnine Hospital, Whitefield, recommended only when it's the right option for you.
What is laparoscopic gynaecological surgery?
Laparoscopic, or keyhole, surgery is done through a few small cuts in the abdomen using a camera and fine instruments. Compared with open surgery it usually means less pain, smaller scars, a shorter hospital stay and a quicker return to normal activity. It's used for many fibroid, cyst and hysterectomy operations.
Surgery is advised only after other options have been considered. Before you decide, you'll know why it's recommended, what it involves, the risks and the alternatives.
Dr Sreeja Rani V R has special training in laparoscopy and in gynaecologic oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru.
