Infertility evaluation & treatment in Whitefield

A careful evaluation of both partners, an honest explanation of the results and a treatment plan that fits you, with a fellowship-trained gynaecologist in Whitefield, Bengaluru.

When should you see a fertility specialist?

See a doctor if you're under 35 and haven't conceived after a year of regular unprotected sex, or after six months if you're 35 or older. Seek advice sooner if your periods are irregular or absent, or if you have PCOS, endometriosis, previous pelvic surgery or more than one miscarriage.

Many couples conceive with simple treatment once the cause is understood. Advanced treatment is discussed only when it's likely to help.

Dr Sreeja Rani V R completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine in 2025, after three years as a consultant at Kinder Women's Hospital & Fertility Centre, Bengaluru.

Questions

Fertility FAQs

What tests are done for infertility?
Common tests include hormone blood tests, a pelvic ultrasound to check the uterus and ovaries, a test of whether the tubes are open, and semen analysis for the male partner.
Does PCOS cause infertility?
PCOS can make ovulation irregular, which makes it harder to conceive. Many women with PCOS get pregnant with lifestyle changes or medicines that help them ovulate.
Should my husband also be tested?
Yes. Fertility problems can come from either partner, so a semen analysis is part of the first assessment.
